Description
Relic Vase is a sculptural vase in high-fired ceramic with a patinated antique finish in warm ivory. Handmade — the layering, tones and small irregularities of the surface vary from piece to piece, and no two vases are alike. Watertight inside — can be used with fresh flowers in water.
Some objects look as though they were found rather than made. Relic is one of them. The surface carries chalked layers and dark deposits, as if it had been dug free from something older than us; the two small handles and the full silhouette point back to the ancient form of the amphora. You feel the weight when you lift it.
Let it stand where the room needs calm — alone against a wall, or with a few simple branches. The marks in the surface are not flaws. They are the vase’s past.

Care
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. If needed, use a drop of pH-neutral soap. Avoid abrasive sponges and harsh chemicals — the patinated surface should not be scrubbed.
High-fired ceramic with a glazed, watertight interior, so it can hold fresh flowers in water. Empty the water after use and let the vase dry before placing it on wooden surfaces.
The chalked layers, tones and small irregularities of the surface are handmade characteristics, not flaws — no two pieces are alike.
