Description

Contour Bowl is a sculptural bowl in solid travertine with a soft, organic silhouette. Designed by AORI Copenhagen and crafted in natural travertine, where each piece carries its own unique expression.

Each piece of travertine is unique, with natural pores, veining and colour variations – part of the character of the stone, never a flaw. The surface is honed and sealed, but should not be used in direct contact with moist foods.

Contour Bowl is inspired by the soft forms of nature – heavy in the hand, calm in its expression. The travertine changes character with the light, revealing the depth and texture of the stone throughout the day. Leave the bowl empty and let the material speak, or use it for fruit, chestnuts or other natural elements that follow the changing seasons.

Care

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry off afterwards. Avoid acidic products — citrus, wine and vinegar can etch the surface of natural stone.

Travertine is a natural limestone formed over thousands of years, as mineral-rich spring water deposits calcium layer by layer. The small pores and colour variations are a natural part of the material — no two pieces are identical. The stone develops a beautiful patina over time.

Avoid prolonged moisture and do not use abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals.
